MTC  ATHLETIC TEAM

MTHS puts a lot of energy and resources in developing sports and athletics.

Sports and athletics are a crucial part of the MTHS curriculum. All students take active participation in them. MTHS has taken part and has continued to play a significant role in sports and athletics meetings since the college was opened in September 1999.

The teams (football, handball, track and field and volley ball) are selected from the best players in the inter-class competitions. Thursday afternoons are dedicated to sports and athletics. The Principal and his staff join the Sports Masters and spend the afternoon with the students, encouraging them to participate actively.

The School's football MTC FOOTBALL TEAMand handball teams have won many of the games played with other colleges in the Sub divisional level (Jakiri)  and Divisional level (Bui) in the North West Province.

MTHS performed excellently in the last School and College Sports and Athletics Competitions in Bui Division.

Four students represented the School in the divisional finals held at Kumbo. Bibiana Wiykiynyuy was MTHS flag bearer in the 400, 800 and 1500 meters race and Collette Ngube Sone in the 100 metres.

Emmanuella Ngongban proved to the audience that MTHS is a force to reckon with when it comes to shot-put. These three female athletes made MTC proud. Leonard represented the School in the boys 1500 meters race.

 All MTHS students won prizes.

MTC HANDBALL TEAM
